Going to the Holiday Pops tonight and I cannot come up with a restaurant I want to do before the concert. Suggestions on places and what's good to eat please!

Do you have a price range?
How much time are you willing to spend with dinner?
What side of town?

I'd go to henrys... close to the embassy, you will be there early enough that it likely wont be too crowded... they used to have a prime rib special on friday nights...

Why not Biaggi's, you're becoming quite a regular there.
Of course, Eddie Merlot's is next door.

That's the truth, last time we were there, one of our past waiters came over and chatted us up lol I'm already ready for some more bread pudding
I'd prefer not to break the bank, but as this is a once a year thing and we're not liquor drinkers (ok, I am, he's not but I doubt I will tonight) I don't mind a more expensive place. We live northside (think Carrol and Lima Rd area) and will be able to leave by about 5pm. Concert is at 8pm.
Liking the suggestions, keep 'em coming

I'd say Chappel's on Coldwater Rd. I like that place.

Well, there's a Sonic in front of Walmart.
Chappell's or Cork 'n Cleaver or even Red River homegirl (we're a bit south of you off Lima)

For Sizzler homie! I was actually thinking of Chappell's as I've been on a fish kick lately. Cork has also been on the list for several years now, but it just has never hit the top. I don't know why though. I know ressies needed at Cork, anyone know about Chappell's? (I could just call and ask, but I'm in the middle of a burst of cleaning so Grandma doesn't try to do it for me.
My hubby works today and originally told me he'd be getting off AT 5pm. I told him he better plan on eating at BK then, cause by the time he got home and dressed that's all we'd have time for

I don't think reservations are required for Chappell's. It wouldn't hurt to call and make on anyway though. I can imagine this time of year they could be kind of busy, especially on Friday and Saturday nights.

Redwood Inn on Main... I'm prolly too late... it has a great dive feel, wont break the bank and the sausage rolls are bigger than most heads (notable exceptions would include Ben Roethlisberger).

Indeed was too late last night, but will remember for future. Sounds right up husband's alley
We tried calling Cork for ressies and couldn't get through, so on a whim we called Club Soda and were able to get a ressie. First time there and was impressed overall. The spinach salad was great and the French Onion soup was good. The prime rib was AMAZING! I got the chicken breast and it was good, but the prime rib blew it away. Chocolate cake with bourban sauce for dessert, was good but not overly memorable.

Only thing that rubbed me a bit was that it took a while for my water to be refilled, but I think she just got a bunch of table at once and it slowed her down a bit. She was pretty on the drinks the rest of the night (water and diet, so not a high ticket item). Oh, and the bread basket was tasty too. Just a simple bread with a cup of garlic butter, but a nice compliment.
Since you haven't been there yet, there is a site online where you can buy inexpensive gift certificates. We bought one for CS that can only be used during the weekdays (no weekends) but I got it for I think $4 ish for a $25 gift cert. You can only use one and have to be look at the restrictions but it might be a cheaper way to try it out. I'll look up the site and post it later. Running out the door now to Christmas shop!

I have been to Club Soda only once, but thought it was very good. We had a large party and yet they were prompt and the food was good.
