Congress Approval

So with the democrat controlled Congress at the lowest approval ratings EVER how on earth are they projected to pick up more seats? The disapproval rating is just shy of the all time high set in 1992 and the chances of getting both sides to work together is slim to none, no matter who is in the white house..
Thought about this the other day.. still can't figure out why anyone would vote for someone they don't approve of.

Re: Congress Approval
for congress to pass anything..they need to carry over something like 50 repubs with them. their majority number is close to the republican count, and the votes needed are rarely there. and it doesnt do any good to pass anything..we are ruled by the signing statement dictator. i suspect they will get a whole lot more accomplished in next few years....
but sadly for the neocons it wont be putting prayer back in schools or overturning roe v wade or continuing the idiotic dont-ask-dont-tell policy of the military or teaching creationism as a science. it will be the most effective our government has been for a long long time. YAY!!!
like michelle, i am finally feeling really proud to be an american!

Cindy, oops Cincy ... you can have all the prayer you want in Catholic school if you send your kids there and they won't use any Bill Maher books as text books either.

Sorry.. but everything you just said only shows how big of bitches the dem's are. They spent how many years crying about the right having control and not getting their way, now they have control and are basically telling the right to piss off and the American public at the same time (by getting NOTHING done). Basically telling everyone who voted for them because they'd "change" things to eff off, they are going to do the same thing only in reverse.
The point I was trying to make is that we have a congress right now that refuses to work together, and the solution for most is to put in more people of the same mind instead of more people who will actually do what they ran for.. which is to actually improve things together.
Didn't the Republican congress get things passed when Bill was in office? After all.. people like to point to his reign as the greatest time on earth and all....
