In the billion or so words that have been typed here, in either attacking or praising the current parade of political clowns, has never...and will never, sway another opinion.

It's simply top of mind for the more outspoken members.

There is no blame, the site just lacks diversity and depth right now.

It was inevitable.

I do have my opinions about all of this...politics, religon, et al. but I choose to keep it to myself, and my mouth shut.

You take those two elements out of this equation, (politics, religon, et al) and this place here of late, is sparse.

No harm, no foul.

Considering that the voter turnout is so incredibly low and overall awareness of public policy greatly lacking I can't get too upset to see some actual discourse. I understand it's not everyone's cup of tea but I think boards like this are great outlets and provide more insight into each other. I agree that nobody will really change anyone's mind here but the other areas we interact provide insight into why we think the way we do. My thought process behind the political forum is as much a housekeeping issue as anything else. Politics and Religion bring out strong views and at times heated discussion and while I appreciate that, I also understand that it makes some people uncomfortable.

Vis, I enjoy political discourse, but when we start bantering around "fucking moron" it's getting beyond discourse... I wanted to jump into the discussions, but didnt have the strength... it will settle out a bit after the election...

So when is the actual pissing contest? Is it volume or length of stream that decides the winner?
