Ritter's Closed
Saw that yesterday was the last day for Ritter's to be open (at least in Georgetown Square). I never went there, so I'm probably the reason it folded, but I did hear that it was mainly due to the minimum wage going up. Not sure if that is true or not.

Ritter's is pretty good but it's expensive. We usually hit up Zesto's if we're here in town.

The Dish: Ritter's set to close this month

Skyrocketing food and fuel costs have taken their toll again, forcing Ritter's Frozen Custard in the Georgetown North plaza to close its doors Sept. 28. "There is just no profit margin in this premium product. Our costs are going up amazingly," owner Anah Armbrust says.
Ice cream costs have doubled since she opened in 2001, she says, and the local market won't bear more price increases.
I thought the excuses were bogus, but that's my opinion.

I wonder what DQ, Zesto's, or TCBY would say to those increases? They've found a way to deal with it...
Re: Ritter's Closed
The oil companies should be folding up too if it's all about costs.
