The Obama campaign is now distancing itself from Acorn, claiming Mr. Obama never organized with it and has nothing to do with illegal voter registration. Yet it's disingenuous to channel cash into an operation with a history of fraud and then claim you're shocked to discover reports of fraud. As with Rev. Jeremiah Wright and William Ayers, Mr. Obama was happy to associate with Acorn when it suited his purposes. But now that he's on the brink of the Presidency, he wants to disavow his ties.

The Justice Department needs to treat these fraud reports as something larger than a few local violators. The question is whether Acorn is systematically subverting U.S. election law -- on the taxpayer's dime.

Will BHO pledge to prosecute these clowns? How about cutting off all federal funding?

If indeed Acorn is breaking the law, then it's the role of the executive branch to prosecute. I doubt very seriously that such prosecution would require direct intervention from the president, however my expectation would be that a President Obama would execute his oath accordingly. Cutting off funding would be a function of congress, so I'm not sure what Barak could do in that regard.

obama was working with acorn during primaries registration only, not the upcoming election which is the one with all the iffy stuff to be reviewed.

while i was watching fox this morning they had a press confrence thing air with comments made by acorn. they said its the law they submit the bad ones to each district so whoever falsified documents can be rightfully investigated and prosecuted, and they had them boxed separately and marked. they also provide the name of the person who turned them in. now i may have missed something..this was at my dentist office and there were a few interruptions in my attention.

i am always leary of the vids that have all the little pop up notes..state your case with your vid. and i only see them on anti-obama ones...never seen it on a pro obama one.
