Wow could this finally be a quarterback the Bears need?!?!

Kind of a high price with two first round picks but it could have been worse if they drafted another quarterback that didn't perform.

Now for a receiver......

Wow, as a Purdue guy and a Bears fan, I'm a little disappointed to see Orton go, but on the other hand, maybe he will be a better QB with the cast around him at Denver. As far as the Bears go, I have a hard time believing this is worth 2 1st round picks, but I'm willing to wait and see.

How about Ocho Cinco? Maybe we could get your Mike Brown and then everytime owner Mike Brown made a check out to player Mike Brown, he would just give a little snicker... Laughing

I thought Cutler would end up with the Jets... I think he's a good fit with the Bears... I'm not sure why they got rid of Orton instead of Rex...

I think Rex might be a free agent. Didn't the Bears sign him to a one year deal last year? Who knows.

I think Cutler to the Bears is a great move. However, they gave up alot. They get a proven qb, but they need receivers, a 2nd rb, and some o-line help. I mostly like the move becuase drafting a qb in the first round is a crapshoot. Many front half of the first round qb draft picks have been duds, considering their draft spot and expectations. (Vince Young, Matt Leinart, Alex Smith, Ryan Leaf) Now the Broncos have two first rounders this year and two next year. Good luck with their payroll down the road, although rumors are a' swirling that the broncs will give up their two this year (12 & 18 I think) to trade up to get the second qb this year between Stafford or Sanchez.

Rex Grossman is gone. They have two 2nd year unheard of backups in Haine and Basanez.

I think they will be okay at running back. Forte stays health, they have resigned Kevin Jones who did a good job in Detroit along with the other Peterson

They have no one at wide receiver.

I thought Mushie Muhammad was a decent WR...

Pez, pez, pez....Mush played for the Panthers last year. He was on the bears 2 years ago. Devin Hester is their go to guy these days. They have a bunch of #3 caliber guys (including Hester imo) but no clear cut #1.

I saw this on ESPN today.

Leading receiver last year.
#1 Forte
#2 Olson
#3 Hester
#4 Clark

Wow a running back, 2 tight ends and a kick returner.

Rashid Davis is the only receiver they have that you might have heard of.

I expect Hester to be an improved WR this year. Prior to last year, they pretty much used him for special teams only. Last year, he was doing some double duty as a receiver and punt returner, and he seemed to make some pretty big improvements as the year went on considering the learning curve.

Well, I never thought I would say this, but we should have kept Grossman. Okay, I'm supposed to have patience according to the guy on ESPN, but this is ridiculous. 17 INT's? I bet that No Monkey guy in our fantasy league won't start him again.

Well maybe not Grossman, but Orton is looking pretty good right now. Embarassed
