New Jimmy's
I see that a Jimmy John's is moving into the former Krispy Kreme on Coldwater Rd across from Walmart.
I've tried them once and didn't think it was that bad. Probably will visit a second time once they open.

I don't suppose you would find it odd if I told you it's a metaphor :-)

I've never eaten there.. but I think it'll be about as successful at killing Subway as Mavricks was at killing Arby's.

Subway won't go anywhere BUT they'll lose ALL of my business now.

Jimmy John’s Gourmet Sandwiches will open another location May 20 at 5412 Coldwater Road, next to Blockbuster Video, where Krispy Kreme used to be. Hours will be 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.

Just peachy.
I had 4 coneys and a cheeseburger. And for the first time ever...the cheeseburger sucked.

Re: New Jimmy's
I just stopped at the "old" Jimmy's out here on Jefferson, and business is down since last Oct-Nov when I was last in there. I stopped at around Noon and there were 4 people sitting down, another 2 waiting for carryout. I also noticed that the wine shop and Supper Thyme are also gone. Dang. I wanted to go to Supper Thyme at least once to try it. And that wine shop was the only place in town where I know I could order one of my favorite wines... Cosentino Cigar Zin

I tried Jimmy Johns for the first time today. Neither my wife or me were impressed. Glad some people like them, we just didn't care for them.
Re: New Jimmy's
I agree I never had anything good there either
Compared to even Subway Subway has them beat.... price and freshness and selection

I don't know what it's called, but there is some kind of wine shop that will be setting up just north of Glenbrook in the Joann Plaza. It's going to be in the newly remodeled storefronts right on Coldwater. I'll try to catch the name since I have to be near there later today.

Re: New Jimmy's
Ok, it's called Wine Style and Gifts. Doesn't look like it's opening anytime soon though. Doesn't even look like drywall is up.
