Mitch and social conservatives

I find it incredible that Mitch Daniels will ultimately be unelectable based on his "truce on social issues" comment. There has been a republican in the white house for 20 of the last 30 years and none of them have managed to get Roe v Wade overturned.

I don't think that will hurt him as much as being from Indiana. I hated the way he was treated on meet the press this Sunday. Really a graph showing unemployment up 69% since he took office due to smaller government stance. I wonder what the former Democratic govenor of Michigan, Illinois and Ohio percentage would be from the time they took office before the recession till now.
