Bman, the Columbus Dispatch has endorsed McCain. You might want to change your Buckeye allegience.

the southern half of the buckeye state is republican ... the northern half is democratic. I bet the Toledo Blade and the Cleveland Plain Dealer endorse Obama and the Cincinnati paper and the Dayton Daily News endorse McCain.
No shocker here ...

The Houston Chronicle endorsed Obama; you could have knocked me over with a feather. (Texas is a VERY conservative state.)

Re: Colin Powell endorses Obama
Maybe, but I think talk radio would be the BIGGEST winner. Think about it...how many liberal talk radio hosts are there on commercial radio? I've heard Mike McConnell on WLW say that liberals don't listen to talk radio much and I'm inclined to believe that. If they did, you would hear liberal hosts on commercial radio b/c they would have a viable audience to justify the expense of them hosting the shows.meta4 wrote:Cincy Fan 44 wrote:Rush is probably glad CP endorsed BHO, and is more than likely privately hoping Barry wins the election so that he has more to talk about today, tomorrow, next week, next month, next year, etc...
Barack Obama getting elected to the White House would be great for talk radio. It means more ratings, which in turn means more revenue. That's all radio is...ratings and revenue.
Just radio? How about ALL media?
So if liberals/Democrats do take over the White House/Congress next month, guess what? All the conservatives and right wingers out there will probably (in my theory anyway) turn to Rush, Hannity, Cunningham, et al to cry in their beers and come up with a plan of how they can take back Congress two years from now.

The Dayton Daily News has already endorsed Obama. They are a more liberal paper than anything, as they also endorsed Kerry in '04.Bman wrote:I bet the Toledo Blade and the Cleveland Plain Dealer endorse Obama and the Cincinnati paper and the Dayton Daily News endorse McCain.

and Gore in 2000, and Clinton in '96 and '92, and it appears Dukasis in '88. Bman, were you ever once one of Pete Rose's bookies? That's a great bet!Cincy Fan 44 wrote:The Dayton Daily News has already endorsed Obama. My assumption that the southern half or 2/3's of Ohio is conservative is spot on, I made a poor assumption then that the DDN would be conservative.

The northern half of Ohio also stinks the most. 33% of that stink eminates from the state to the north, 34% comes from the stink of all the browns fans there, and 33% of the stink comes from the Democrats there.Bman wrote:Markwes wrote:Bman, the Columbus Dispatch has endorsed McCain.
