I made the comment before that you tend to leave yourself a wide berth of plausible deniability. Why not just say what you think or feel and take what you get? That's the essence of sharing thought on a message board.
Who knows, maybe if we knew more about where you were coming from you'd get less flack?
To me I should not have to say that much about it. Like I said it is common sense. Especially outside of the immediate family. Parent/parents should be watching their children and going with their gut when they think something is not right.
As for what Bman & VIs think, I could care less.

Re: new rules for priests
I'm not sure I understand the whole 'common sense' aspect either. Are you saying you agree with the archdiocese in proclaiming these new rules, or you disagree because it's common sense and should not need to be published, or something else? This is one diocese, Cincinnati, so it's not like the Pope made this announcement. If the Baptists thought alcohol abuse was a problem in their church and instituted new programs to try to help members, that would be fine with me, but I wouldn't feel the need to post it on a message board.moondrop wrote:meta4 wrote:I agree with a part of that Moon. well, if you say so...
It just seems to me that the saying "that's the problem, common sense is no longer common." probably doesn't resound in you very loudly unless it's your point. You, most likely, have no depth of thought behind what few sentences you post. You just don't understand why everyone can't hold all of the same collective thoughts about this issue in their minds... because it's common sense...
... as if while I'm writing this, I continue with "these facts known...", suggesting to the reader that whatever I just wrote should be taken as fact does not, in fact, make it fact.

It should not have to be taught to adults. Common Sense! This is something parents should be teaching their male (and female) teenagers at home, before it becomes a problem.

They say 3 out of 10 people are sexually harassed in their lifetime.
Which leads me to ask...when is it my turn?
Someone owes me dammit, I am harrasable.

Well, when it happens you'll know it because you aren't going to like it. She'll (or he'll) probably be older and wear dentures and speak the most filthy vile things to you while grabbing your rear.
(did that let some air out of the balloon?)

Really?
Someone will just come up to me and do those things?
Wow.
Typically I have to pay for that.

It's like that moment when you finish jerking off and the porn you downloaded is still playing on your PC... you think to yourself, man, that's really sick.

No, just kiddin around. I was just googling 'female sex offenders' on the net and was amazed the percentage of fairly decent looking women. Compare that with male sex offenders... a vast difference in appearances.

Make sure you get payment first from OA before you arrange for his harrassment.
Then again, would it be considered harrassment if he enjoys it and is willing?
Oh meta, Pedro looks like he is reading the time on my watch a little too often...

Reveived link.
Arranged dates.
For some I need to wait 3-5 years, but that's cool.

Only 3 out of 10? Seems pretty low to me.. given how ridiculous the standard is for sexual harassment these days.
The difference between harassment and flirting is how cute the person doing the deed is.

Re: new rules for priests
I still want to know whats up with all the HOT young teachers "abusing" students. I mean, c'mon, just about every male teenager would hit that shit, two times. Well, unless they're too busy humping Jesus' leg or something.
