Michigan Medicinal Marijuana

Ok so here where I work and many other place's do urine test often.

So in order for me to make money I have to be tested, otherwise no money.

So those who recieve money in welfare and unemployment benies, should be tested also?

Yes, and I personally agree. That seems fair, unless they're in one of the "Green 13" and have a prescription. My guess is that if it were challenged, the state law would be upheld, enabling the receipt of Welfare money regardless of consumption. The reason I say that is because A court (can't remember which one) recently ruled that there was clear evidence the (Fed) was trying to crack down on California's state laws by prosecuting specific cases in order to challenge the state law. They ruled the federal prosecution unconstitutional.

If I remember correctly, Unemployment, Welfare, and Food Assistance Programs are state run, but they get a portion of their budget from Federal funds. Who knows, it would certainly be a sticky situation.

Outside of the federal or state programs, most private sector employers would not tolerate this and probably have the only legal right to refuse to hire or terminate any employee for using the drug, with or without a prescription. But, it may be only a short while before that falls as well given this precedent in California.

No benifits should be recieved if they are on drugs of any kind .

I don't want my tax money given, used for drugs.

Remember we're talking about prescription medication at this point. There's already PLENTY of people getting unemployment payments that take them straight to the bank and exchange for cash then walk across the street and buy alcohol.

So they should just allow them to grow it.

I was talking about drugs that are not legal if someone has a lic. for medical pot thats ok

Nothing would change in this regard as far as I know. Illegal DOES still mean "illegal".

I've heard that you don't boil it. What I think they were trying to do is extract the THC into the liquid, but they should have used oil instead of water. Frickin' amateur attempt it seems.

I've never heard of anyone boiling tea... I'd laugh at them if they were boiling the tea in the water.

That might be the tea that we drink here. Where we boil water and pour it on.
A proper chai is boiled with water, milk, tea leaves and various spices.

Well, around this time of year all the stray cats in town get a bit "cold" which makes them ideal for use as pucks.

Saw a dead kitty in the road today at lunch and thought of Meta's promise to play kitty shuffleboard if this thread goes 5 pages...so really I'm just trying to do my part to make that happen.

I say let people grow it for themselves, this way no one has to buy it.
