I believe Americans within their own good will know how to take care of others and don't need the government to interfere. That's where Obama is wrong with his Robin Hood policy. Somebody's going to pay for these trillions of dollars Obama is spending right now and it's going to be you and me. So Obama hasn't kept his word. He signed the economic stimulas package loaded with pork that he promised he would not allow if he were president. Typical politician. But at least you still have your poms poms.

Kroman, you listen real close too ... The first $750B of TARP was a Bush request. The economic stimulus of $784B was an Obama request which most economist stated we HAD to have ... SOMEONE had to spend some $$$ to get the economy going and it was not businesses and consumers. So cry all you want, I personally hope your taxes do go up, maybe they should institute an ASSHOLE tax, you would max out on that one.

Personally, I hope we keep our foot on the accelerator for a while so that once we start to really recover we don't slip back into another recession much like happened to FDR in the 30's. Trickle down economics brought this DEPRESSION on ... hopefully Trickle UP works better.

Thanks for highlighting my above comments. I did say I'd be willing to wager. That means there is a chance I could lose the wager. The only way for me to lose the wager is if I disclosed how much I give which I won't. If I were boastful I would say how much I would give. The overall point I was making which went over your head is we don't need a benevolent government. There are millions of people in this country who can take care of that. We need a government that will defend our constitution and country.

Isn't most of the economic stimulus slated to take effect until something like 2 years from now? How is that helping us now?
