Miss California controversy

Hopefully I won't be accused of being "homophobic" here, but a contestant gives her honest opinion and a judge blasts her and even calls her a "dumb bitch". And then he goes on Larry King and blasts her some more, to which of course Larry lets it go. That's just great. First of all, isn't Hilton judging a women's beauty contest kind of like Hugh Hefner judging a men's contest? Second, he mentions how the crowd booed. Wow, if he had asked what part God plays in her life and she had answered that she does not believe in God, she would have likely gotten booed too. But that wouldn't make her answer "bad". So I guess the message is make sure the judge will like your answer and lie if you have to.

I give her credit for speaking her honest opinion and NOT giving the politically correct answer. Interesting, President Obama gave a very similar answer when he was asked the question by that one pastor (name slips my mind right now). I guess in Perez Hilton's world, that would make Obama a "Dumb N-word."

And you know if Miss California would have been another race other than white, and Hilton said what he said, people would be calling for his head!

What an annoying prick... Why does he think anyone cares about his interaction with Miss California. There are ways to answer a question without answering it, and given the forum she was in, she likely should have dodged it...

But seriously, I'm surprised we still do miss USA/miss america/miss universe etc...

Ways to answer a question without answering it? Sort of like depends on what the meaning of the word is, is. Honestly, if the gay guy didn't like her personal opinion in regards to his (or her, I can't tell) question then he/she/it shouldn't have asked it.

Whatever, the judge asks a question in which the country is pretty much split down the middle, and is SHOCKED that she answered on one part of the split as opposed to his opinion. Now we are going to find some dirt on her to downplay her opinion. Sad.

A majority of Californians voted down gay marriage in a statewide referrendum. Seems to me the pro-gay crowd needs to get over it.
