actually i learned on an anti-public option commercial a couple days ago that the plan will kill seniors.

I also heard a republican congresswoman stand on the House floor and state the bill REQUIRE the govt to meet with all seniors to determine HOW they wanted to die.

Republicans = FEAR FACTOR

fear and hate is all the right wing has ... look at your leaders (Limbaugh, Gingrich and Beck).

aarp DOES support the obama public option plus his overhaul of industry such as not dropping people who will cost money when they get sick. they support medicare improvements which will no longer make people flock to the part d thing which is buying extra coverage for things not covered under current medicare--and they are confident there will no longer be that gap when the overhaul is initiated. been to aarp website? their prez was on tee vee just yesterday on cnn discussing it.

So... $10,000 income for a hospital results in a tax collection of $100. The hospital didnt receieve the 10,000, so they dont pay the $100. Eventually they write off the loss, and are able to take a $10,000 tax deduction when they write off the loss... So they dont pay taxes on the $10,000, and get a $10,000 deduction...

Further, from the hospital POV, they have to offset that cost somewhere, which is passed on to their other clients as an increased cost....

Add to that the fact that insurance companies have leverage to negotiate costs down (look at your EOB), yet the uninsured cannot... thus the hospital charges full price, writes off the full price, then passes the full price on to the other consumers in terms of increases...

Then why did they not include the Heller amendment that would have required verification they are legal citizens?

It would be the Christian thing for immigrants to legally reside in the country in which he/she is a citizen. I don't believe Christians would shoot illegals as they cross the border. You might but Christians wouldn't.
